One Day at a Time

Our Bible curriculum this year is Telling God's Story Book 1 and we are currently on lesson 19 - One Day at a Time. Jesus speaks about taking one day at a time and not worrying about what is going to happen next. Wow-this one is definitely for me! I am worrier and right now, I am worried about what is going to happen next....I know, I know, it doesn't help. It is just me:)

We practiced our books of the New Testament. I have really been slack with this and I hope to get better. We just have so much to do that I don't always get to it.

J listened to the lesson while working on her coloring sheet.

She made paper dolls with two complete sets of clothes - those of a poorer family and those of a richer family.

She worked on a Monet like painting of water lilies. Monet is definitely my favorite artist.

She drew water lilies with oil pastels and then painted over them with water color. The manual suggested doing this for a pencil holder but she asked to make a picture.

Another craft for the lesson was to make handprint lilies from paper.  Using pipe cleaners and construction paper, she made some lilies.

I love the way these turned out. They are gracing my table in a simple glass jar. They look so pretty. I have seen these before but we never tried them. These will be given to some friends that we will be having dinner with this week but J has already promised to make me some more for my table! Hope you are having an awesome week....a week with no worrying about the future because God is in control :)
