Oz Hands-On

Recently, we were able to visit the local hands-on museum to participate in The Wizard of Oz exhibit. We scored some free passes and it was a girls day - just me and J. Thought I would share a few pictures from the day.

In Kindergarten, we read The Wizard of Oz as part of Sonlight's program. It was somewhat graphic but we enjoyed most of it. J also learned that Dorothy's slippers were not red but silver. When they  made the film, silver wouldn't show up as well as red slippers.

J rode the bike with Toto in the back. Her pedal power made the cinemascope run.

She climbed her way to the Witch's broom. She liked the web climbing.

She wasn't too thrilled with the Scarecrow - see that face!

She brushed the lion's mane.

I tried to get her to milk the cow but she wasn't having it. The exhibit was great. I was worried that it was going to be too young for her but she had fun. It was a nice girls' day out.
