I Spy, Inch Worms, and Ice Cream
This book is great to exercise your mind. You have to find the items in the riddles, some of them were hard to find, even for me.
My mom bought us Kate Toms series of books and we just love the stories and the pictures. Thanks, mom!
This is a great math book - an inch worm measuring everything. I had planned on working in some measuring activities but the ice cream seemed to be enough.
We worked through the I Spy book together. These are truly fun.
J cut bananas so they could make an ice cream sundae.
Kaleb added his own topping. I had to reign him in some, I think he would have used the whole bottle of caramel sauce!
Yum.
As J ate her ice cream, we worked on a free ice cream writing paper from Amy Lemons. It was working with similes and metaphors. Ice cream is as cold as.... I just asked her to finish the sentence. I wasn't really worried with metaphors and such.
Then I gave them paint and had them make an ice cream cone picture. I was hoping to do this with shaving cream paint but no shaving cream :( So they just painted with water color.
J added a red pom pom for a cherry and I is for ice cream is done. Moving on....
