Ready to Return

It has been a little over a month since my blog break. My mother had knee surgery and she is recovering well. I was blessed to be able to stay home with my mother and help her through this time. In between therapy, laundry, cooking, and such, we did manage to keep up with our school schedule (as difficult as it was). We have been busy with many activities, thanks to my DH.

One of my wishes while we are in the states was to have a garden. I feel like a garden will be a great learning experience and my DH has made it possible.

My DH made four garden boxes to use in our yard. Kaleb was a true trooper. He spent the days out in the yard shoveling the dirt and compost into the boxes. He loved playing in the dirt and being with his Daddy.

J will help me with the weeding and watering. She mainly tried to stay out of the way of the caterpillars that were roaming around our yard. She found one on her sleeve and had a fit. (city girl, huh?)

There has been tons of yard work, opening of the family pool, and lots of play outside. I love being here. My parents have a great big yard and lots of room to play. I am glad they have the chance to enjoy the outdoors. We are looking forward to plenty of fresh veggies and I am looking forward to the learning experiences that the kids will have with this garden (bugs included).
