Tot Tuesday

Recently, I noticed that every time I put Kaleb's shoes on, his toes were wearing out. I couldn't figure it out. I knew he didn't drag his feet while he walked. We were outside one day and I discovered what he was doing.

Kaleb loves his ride on toys. He has several of them, having not moved to pedal toys yet. He gets on them, pushes his legs so fast, and uses his shoes to slow him down. Actually, he uses the toes of his shoes to slow himself down.

Every pair of sneakers have the toes blown out. It doesn't matter if they are the cheap kind from Wal-Mart or the more expensive kind from Kohl's. Toes are gone. This boy is hard on his shoes. I can't keep him in them. I even had a pair designated for church so, at least when we went - he wouldn't look like an orphan. But even that pair got into the play shoe mix and, now, no church sneakers. I am off to buy him another pair of sneakers and, hopefully, we can keep these for at least a month. Do they make steel-toe shoes for boys? I might be willing to invest in them :)
