Jesus is Tempted
We are working our way through Telling God's Story Book 1 this year and we are loving it. I love how the lessons are easy to do, with very little prep, but that I can also supplement when I want. Our lesson for the week was about the Temptation of Jesus.
We started this lesson by reading the passage from the bible and J coloring the sheet from the book.
J mapped the temptations of Jesus on a map of Israel. She drew symbols of each temptation and what Jesus responded to the tempter.
We discussed the Temple and color coded each section of the Temple.
One of the activities was to make a temple from sand. We had just purchased Kinetic sand from Michael's on a super sale (I have been waiting for this!). J created her temple from the Kinetic sand and, would you believe, that the temple stayed together until we knocked it down.
J created a mini bible book craft for this lesson from Aunties Bible Lesson (link below). This was super cute and it seemed timely since it is all most Valentine's Day. It was a good lesson. See you soon.
