I am back this Friday with another Wheel School finished project. In case you haven't been here in awhile, I am trying to cross some items off my To Do List and one of these items was to finish my Interactive Notebook Pages for the alphabet. Today's finished project that I am crossing off is Letter K Interactive Notebook Pages. Yay! I am working my way through the alphabet and planning on finishing (God willing:) this school year.
The notebook pages start with a simple flip book that the child would add pictures of items that begin with the letter K. The pictures are included in the download but you could also find pictures in magazines or have your child draw their own pictures.
Also included is a simple letter puzzle. I would print this on card stock and add magnets to the back. Using a cookie sheet with the magnets, it makes an easy review of the letter.
I made an upper and lower case letter sort for the letter K. I would add mini pockets behind the locks so the keys can be slipped in.
Another feature of this download is an alphabet review game. You could use pom poms or glass beads, just about anything, and practice the beginning sounds review of each letter that has been learned up to the letter K.
Another review game - call out the letter and have your child cover the letter with a pom pom or bead or such.
I always like to try to include some type of math game. This time, I decided to practice simple addition to the number 5. If that seems too hard, just do what you think your child can handle. I would have counters available to work out the addition problems. A good counter would be miscellaneous keys, if you have nay lying around. I also included a pocket for you to add the random pieces of the notebook pages. If you have any questions, please contact me. Enjoy.
